Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. Her reporting on the streets of Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the instances. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. As well as her role as anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and in addition for Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
